Design and Evaluation of an AI-Powered Research Assistant for UX Designers (Jaemin Chung & Dongwhan Kim, International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction)
Introducing 'UREKA’, an AI-powered research assistant for UX designers. UREKA supports the entire UX research workflow—from ideation and data analysis to insight generation—on a single, cohesive platform, improving upon the fragmented experience of conventional tools. The prototype earned an excellent System Usability Scale (SUS) score of 80.5 , demonstrating an effective human-AI partnership where AI serves as a 'cognitive accelerator' while the designer retains critical oversight.

<aside> 🤖 Between Brushes and Bytes: Reframing Human-AI Co-Creation Artwork Recognition with Effective Labeling (Yunyoung Cho & Dongwhan Kim, Submitted for Publication)
This study investigates how the public and experts perceive Human-AI Co-Creation (HACC) in art. Despite a general preference for human-made art, it finds that detailed labels on HACC artworks, especially those explaining the prompt and history, significantly increase their appeal and perceived value. Through surveys and expert interviews, the research establishes standards for evaluating HACC artworks and demonstrates how a comprehensive labeling system can elevate their appreciation and legitimacy in the creative industry.
